1943 Indian 741 Scout
The most common Indian motorcycle made for military use in World War II was the 741, a military version of the Thirty-Fifty. These were primarily used by British and Commonwealth forces. Indian sold more than 30,000 units of the 741.
Originally a WWII military vehicle, this bike had been modified post war into the ‘bobber’ style typical of the day. Bikes could be bought very cheaply after the war and people removed the heavy original parts to create a lighter faster machine. This bike has a 600cc V-twin engine and a 3 speed gearbox.
